Feed Gaza: Ramadan Food Parcels

With Covid-19 affecting the lives of people around the world, the people of Gaza were hit extremely hard with the population reaching close to 2 million people. Close contact is the way of life in that part of the world.

In the Gaza Strip, Palestinian refugees are relying on non-profits to meet their basic needs. Their right to food, a human right, is non-negotiable but is being neglected by all those who turn a blind eye to Gaza. Currently, more than 1.6 million people in Gaza are considered food insecure.

Together, we provided food parcels to Palestine refugee families -- every $100 was enough to provide food for a family of 7 for all of Ramadan!

A total of $82,624 was raised to fund food parcels for Palestinian refugee families in Gaza during Ramadan.

Phase 1:  2,000 food packages
Phase 2:  1,800 food packages

Efforts on the ground would not be possible without our implementing partner Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA). They have also upgraded the project by adding a whole chicken and vegetable for each food package!
